If you could make the entire world listen to one album, what would it be?
Toss-up between Eric Clapton’s Nothin’ But The Blue’s, U2’s The Joshua Tree and The Dave Matthew’s Band’s Live At Red Rocks – And I’d have to fall out with DMB at the end. So many people have only heard the radio hits, and if you dig deeper the raw musical talent of this band is in my opinion insurmountable…. Just a bit from their song “Seek Up” sums up what I’m saying – “Look at me in my fancy car and my bank account Oh, how I wish I could take it all down into my grave, God knows I’d save and save. Take a look again, take a look again, Take a look again… Every day things change, …Basically, they stay the same…”

I love music that makes you think about the world around you, and this album does it best.

If you were a genre of music, what genre would you be?
Reggae. Haaaaa. No, that’s actually not true at all. I wish. I am THE Jam Band Man.

What’s your favorite sound?
Sorry. This is a PG BIO. Haaaaaaaaaaaaaa! No, seriously, I love when my kids are – holding in the pee – laughing with me. I sound like a sick goose when I laugh, and they love it. That, and Paul Simon singing “Me and Julio Down By the Schoolyard.”

What word or expression do you use far too often?
“Nicely!” (There’s a cool story behind this, ask me sometime!)

What brand best reflects your personality and why?
NIKE. Just Do It. It’s probably the most famous tagline written in the modern age. Before sneakers were just rubber, canvas, and plastic, afterward, they became a mantra for how to live. A few years back, I had the privilege to be the lead writer on NIKE in Africa for a year, and this is a brand that truly lives out what they say. My kids and I are Brand fans, and we’re not content to passively watch life, we want to participate actively. NIKE’s shoes and gear represent this to us, and we’re grateful for our relationship with this phenomenally inspirational Brand.
