Media Planner/Buyer
Summary:
Current360 is looking for an experienced media professional to lead the generation of all media strategies and plans for our clients.
Since 1984, our team has vigorously guarded and spent client dollars like our own money. We want a person who will continue this trait.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in media strategy, planning, and negotiating/buying.
- A focus on traditional media platforms and thorough knowledge of digital tactics.
- Working knowledge of Strata/FreeWheel and Microsoft or Apple office applications.
Responsibilities:
- Work with our digital buyer, social media strategist, and client service staff to analyze, assess, and deliver on all media needs.
- Book media space and issue insertion orders, insertion cancellations, and media change requests.
- Serve as the agency face of the media department to clients, media partners, and the broader advertising community.
- Assist in mentoring other members of the media team when possible.
- Be proficient in all forms of media strategies and the various technologies that enhance our ability to serve our clients.
- Work to deliver clients’ messages to the desired audience(s) through research and analysis of the intended audience(s).
- Work across disciplines within the agency with knowledge of how each function works toward the common goal of building clients’ brands while remaining profitable to the agency.
- Develop/approve and present client media strategies and plans.
- Negotiate for the most efficient and effective use of our clients’ budgets.
- Ensure budgets are controlled while reaching the desired target audiences.
- Coordinate with the traffic manager to ensure publication material deadlines are met.
- Review affidavits and other proof of performance to ensure partners have run the correct size, length, position, etc.
- Participate as part of our new business team to develop and respond to opportunities.
