YOGA: Another great benefit at Current!

It’s so cool when you own the building you work in because it allows you to dream up — and make a reality — just about anything you want to do. I’ve spent more than a few hours thinking of ideas I’d like to bring to Bakery Square. Thoughts have included setting up a breakfast and lunch organic eatery/coffee house so that we provide a healthier alternative to the fast food I often see being consumed at lunch.
Another idea is a daycare for the 20 plus kids of Current who could enjoy being closer to mom or dad. Ping pong and corn hole are already available and part of the fun here. We even host “Movie Nights” from time to time.
And, now we are providing Yoga to all who want to stretch and strengthen on Monday and Thursdays after hours. We already pay half of the monthly membership fees for our folks to join the Y. Yoga is just another opportunity to conveniently take care of our bodies—and minds—right after work. After the first session, I felt stronger and immediately noticed an improvement in my posture. And, it’s a great way to offset the time we spend sitting and plugged into our computers.  Namaste.
