Account Services Event Payoff

One of the many hats a good account service executive wears is the event planner’s hat.  While we are constantly scurrying around to meet deadlines, negotiating with both internal and external clients and maintaining projection budgets, we also enjoy coordination, set up and fulfillment of events for our clients.  Whew, tired yet?
A few weeks back, our team’s work on one such event culminated in some unexpected successes.  We put on an event that included a Bed Making Competition at a local eatery/pub.  Contestants competed against one another to make a bed faster than the opposing team.  The competition included 3 heats and ended with one team of 2 winning a free queen size mattress each from our client, Mattress & More.  The unexpected success was the attendance of my client’s mattress dealers from Sealy, IBC and Miralux.
The event has been growing in size and excitement each year and this year we had the best turnout ever!  The Sealy dealer was very excited to see the social media coverage that took place during the event and was gushing to our client about how well covered and thought out the event was.  The client thanked our team for really wowing his guests.  For me, nothing is better than making my clients look great, especially when it really matters.
