Feed the world…with your phone

Thanks to the digital world in which we live, I can grub down some yummy food and help famine relief with an easy click.
The Good Belly Project has partnered with restaurants around Boston.  If you eat at a participating restaurant, take a picture of your food with Instagram, tag the photo with #goodbellyproject and set the restaurant as your location.  The restaurant will donate $1.00, which goes to East Africa to help with famine.
The UN has declared East Africa famine the worst in the past 60 year – a child dies of famine every 6 minutes there.   With just a click on the phone, we can all help end this tragedy.
Social media and the digital world are changing everyday. We all know that.  And, we all know that it has been used a million times to build awareness.  This project is the absolute coolest use I have seen in a while, I love it.  Too bad it is only in Boston right now.
What are you thoughts on it?
