We’ll miss you, Debbie

We were saddened this morning to hear of the passing of our dear friend Debbie King. It was seldom we could enter Debbie’s office without the promise of a smile and comforting advice. The world will be a lonelier place without her – rest in peace, Earth Mother.

When my father-in-law was dying from cancer, Debbie was one of the few people I spoke to at length about the difficulties of watching a loved one decline. She, fortunately, had a wise and beautiful approach to life. Most people don’t know what to say in those situations, and well meaning attempts to make you feel better usually miss the mark, somewhat. Debbie did make me feel a little better and she didn’t even seem to try. I will always remember her for that.

The biggest success comes when you make a difference in someone else’s life for the better, and Debbie did that for me. I have a lot of love in my heart for her and my condolences go out to her family and friends.

Well said, Katy. She was an amazing woman that deeply touched many lives. We’re all better people for having known her.
