Getting through that first year

There is light at the end of the tunnel for my first Derby Festival! Eights months ago I became the agency’s Account Girl Wonder. Today I’ve become the Derby Festival Wonder. The last eight months have been such an experience, learning all about the festival, their advertising needs, and working with the fabulous CM team.
Growing up in Louisville I attended several Festival events: the Pegasus Parade, Thunder, Chow Wagon and Boat Race. But it wasn’t until I stepped into my role here that I learned how many Derby Festival events there really are. The Fashion Show, the Texas Hold’em Tournament, the Taste of Fest-a-Ville, the They’re Off Luncheon…there really is something in the Derby Festival for everyone! As the festival kick-off gets closer, it’s an amazing feeling to hear people rave about the Pegasus Pins, the ads, the billboards and the pre-Derby buzz. It means we’ve done our job.
There is no way that I could have conquered my first festival season without the wonderful team at CM. I need to thank EVERYONE for the countless hours they put in. Everyone here has helped to make this year’s Derby Festival the best I’ve ever seen. My first adventure has been an unforgettable one!
Get your Pegasus Pin and I’ll see you at the events!
