I love the soil more.
I want to roll in it.
Bury my nose in it.
Dig in it.
Dig, dig, dig.
They’re all over MY Courtyard.
Pots brimming with soil.
Begging me to rearrange them.
I finally did.
I tried to hide the evidence.
They knew.
They fussed.
I cowered.
Gave them the puppy eyes,
They melted.
I got a pass.
